my grand daughter loved seuss - she loved the rhythm of the rhymes. so much fun. she enjoyed green ham and eggs and cat in the hat. are you my mother by eastman love you forever robert munsch guess how much i love you sam mcbratney just because your little one is just 1 doesnt mean you cant read older books, the act of reading and spending that quality time is so good for bonding - mine used to love it when i did different voices for the different characters in the book. make it fun and read it with enthusiasm. enjoy - the time will go fast and now i would love to have those moments back when they sit on your lap with eagerness to hear a story. i could fit on their laps now ! edited by fairwater on 20/11/2011 edited by fairwater on 20/11/2011

I love Lynely Dodd books like Hairy Mclary. There are a whole series of them. Magrudy's don't have that many but Kinakoya (bad spelling) in Dubai Mall always have a great selection. These were my childrens favourite. I have to agree - my neices and nephews loved these books. As easy to read out loud, which maskes it more fun for the parents too :) Editted to say that Floss by Kim Lewis was another range of books they liked. edited by jillp on 20/11/2011
