Anybody have some information on this building(limestone house)? We may need to relocate from Abu Dhabi, where we have our perfect place. We are very quiet not social people. My husband will work in DIFC and travel half of the time. So we see our only option to rent there to be close and just walk to the office even during the summer. If we move somewhere around Burj Khalifa/ business bay how traffic/parking would be as the company does not provide parking? It may seem silly but now he works very close so he can spend time with us in the morning and join for lunch most days. If he starts travelling I do not want him to miss out on things because of traffic and parking.

HorizonMum2 thank you so much I am interested in how is to live there with a toddler. Now I can do everything on foot can take big walks as we live in the sport city kind of in AD. How is the traffic and parking. Are the building very noisy from tenants? I think it is such a big change to move to Dubai from here or from AD to Dubai. Other thing here you are able to skip agents there not so much and I have very little trust in them just by reading papers and forums :-(. sorry being so agitated but it is so stressing we have been living in this apartment block for the past three years... a few pointers to note when living on shk zayed road... - choose the side on the crowne plaza side (offers easy access to back road, satwa, jumeirah, etc.) - to get the most competitive rent choose a building that is slightly old but well maintained - try and get an apartment that faces the back of the building (so not road facing but sea facing) - choose a lower floor as opposed to a higher floor (as rents seem to be higher for the top floors) - most of the apartment buildings on this strip popularly called Trade Centre 1 & 2 come with party hall, swimming pool, squash courts, gym, etc. - the biggest advantage of our building has been a park (Satwa park) that is just opposite... so a short walk away - nearly all the buildings offer residents parking spots... paid street parking is also available but can get a little tricky between 8pm-10pm at night and sometimes on weekends - most of the buildings are managed by real estate companies so no need of additional agents... just contact watchman and ask for details of the real estate company to coordinate with

Thanks sarahlou123 you just opened our living options. :-) It only takes us max 20/25 minutes to drive from JVT and that's during rush hour.

Thank you, I appreciate your answer. I read that parking for a month was like 2000 AED. He will need to be later in office so may traffic be ok ;-) My building ( Liberty House) has spaces for AED700 I think The traffic isn't bad at all and I get out easily enough at 5.30pm It only takes me 15 minutes to drive from The Greens so I am happy with that.

I work in an office next door to Limestone House Traffic isn't too bad here although it is reasonably heavy first thing in the morning and around 5.30pm-6.30pm. Car parking isn't the best and it is mostly paid. It isn't cheap either. The cost is around AED20 for the full day ( 8am-6pm) There used to be a sandpit opposite my office that people parked in for free however people started blocking people in rather than park normally and the police cordoned it off It is handy for the Metro ( Financial Center) and restaurants
