We have just bought a hattan in Arabian ranches and as a GGSE surprise we want to convert the third floor into a mini suite for our daughter. We wanted to know how much renovation is possible, the balcony is a little bit useless - is there anyway we can extend the room to fill the whole area? Also in regards to the bathroom, can that be broken down and restructured? Any advice / information is much appreciated! Xx

Emaar will guide you properly. or contact good villa renovation company who are having valid license to do that kind of work. all the best

Thanks so much for your replies. I'm aware that they're quite strict about any renovations, but does anyone know of anybody who has extended their third floor? I wasn't sure if this was possible, as there is no foundation for a ceiling there.

There is a Ranches facebook page which might provide you with more information. We are in a Saheel and also doing some renovations. Emaar are concerned about the outside look but you also need permission from DM for any structural work.

All renovations must be approved of by Emaar. They're apparently strict on renovations that change the exterior of the property. So you should speak with your local Emaar office about what's doable.
