Teatro at Towers Rotana on SZR. Just let them know when/if you make the booking. Bonus is that it's not just one kind of cuisine - curry, pizza, European, noodles, sushi & sashimi etc ... pretty much something for everyone.

I recently celebrated my birthday meal with friends at hard rock cafe in festival city if your birthday falls on a music night then they make a big deal about your birthday and any other celebrations :)

the Meat company madinat or souq al bahar (happy birthday african style with a cake) great fun. i second this! I third it! I always hope there is a birthday when we go to the Meat Company. If you get a table outside on the decking at the Madinat one, it is a really lovely setting with a view of the Burj Al Arab.

Had a lovely dinner during my friend's birthday at Tribes in MOE. There were African drums and tunes wishing her happy birthday, it was fab.

Depends which end of Dubai you live. Southern end try Grand grill with the African drums etc. Other end Hard Rock at Festival City. also they do lots of cocktails and entertainment of the band is great

The Meat Company in the Madinat sing Happy Birthday (or at least they did last year) - it was really great when we were there - a lot of the staff come out to sing, they clap and beat drums and make that traditional African sound that I can't really describe (kind of like a bird call, but then not really) - was really very nice.

The staff at the Grand Grill in the Habtor are South African and do a brilliant happy birthday with drums, etc. They all gather round your table and sing several S.A. songs and then happy birthday. If you book, make sure you tell them it is somebody's birthday and they usually provide a small cake with their name iced on the plate. There are vouchers in the Fine Dining Entertainer book
