Probably a long shot but has anyone used a company to do just sand compaction in the garden and then laid paving themselves? I got a quote for 50 square metres of sandstone paving slabs at Dh3K plus an additional Dh5K to do the ground preparation and installation! Seems on the high side...

Any recommendations gratefully received. We want a reasonably nice garden but don't want to spend a fortune on a rented property.
