Google "Home Movie Depot". They have an "Easybox" option where you pay a flat fee (much less than standard rate) to digitise anything (photos, slides, negatives, 8mm film) that you can fit in a 13 x 18 x 3 inch box. They're in the states so don't know if shipping will make it too expensive or if it's still worthwhile.

I have done this many times at the Kodak shop in the big Spinneys centre in Umm Suqueim. Just dropped the photos in and they scanned them all to disk. I think it was about AED1 per photo

I recently retrieved from storage hundreds of photos from my youth that I want scanned. The thought of scanning each and every one individually fills me with dread! Does anyone know of a service where I can drop the box of photos off and get it all scanned onto a USB or disk?
