The recent rough seas have washed up all kinds of things and, as well as all the usual rubbish, there is wildlife. Yesterday on an early morning walk my husband almost trod on a sea snake lying on the beach in Jumeirah. Out of water they find it difficult to manouevre but it was very much alive. Please take great care and tell your kids of all ages how dangerous they are.

I saw 3 sea snakes in the marina right next to the mall on Tuesday. They were quite small but big enough for us to see them on the surface. My children were fascinated! We were at the beach on JBR yesterday but didn't hear of any sharks, spent most of it building sandcastles though as the water was really rough.

I was told two hammer head sharks had been close to shore at JBR beach on Saturday. The sea was evacuated and everyone was safe, obviously. It's all part of the sea life returning to it's natural environment slowly after the building of at the Palm etc.
