Just investigating the various options of moving belongings from Hong Kong to Dubai. We are allowed "reasonable expenses" so may have to cover some costs ourselves, not a problem but that aside, how practical is it to arrange your own shipping/ container, pack everythign ourselves and appoint a forwarding agent in Dubai? We don't have much in the way of furniture but mainly boxes (already packed, labelled and categorised on a spreadsheet), lots of pictures (not valuable) and 4 large fish tanks - we will give all the fish away before moving!:) I know from previous enquiries that costs can rocket using a professional moving company compared to the shipping cost of a container. Any advice/ suggestions much appreciated. Thank you:)
