we looked at a lovely furnished villa in springs 9 (for those that live have lived in springs 9 whats good and bad about the area).. what is a good price to pay for a very very spacious 3 bed furnished with lovely furniture?

also, are there any buses tot ake you to the metro? any shops and restaurants close to springs 9??

Springs is an excellent place to stay...though the space in some rooms can be very small ...The springs 1 and 2 have larger rooms though...As told before you need to drive around and check the amenities...pool,play area , community center etc....some Springs do not have pools though you can access the ones in other Springs or Meadows...about the rental price..you can go to dubizzle.com or the property & relocation section on EW to compare..All the best

One of my friends lives in Springs 2 and she likes the area very much. The main thing I hear from people living in Springs is that some of the facilities are a bit tired. The play areas are not that great (especially for small children) and the pools not ideal for swimming. Just like somebody else suggested I would have a drive around and look at the facilities in your area (incl. neighbouring Springs). There is a bus from the Meadows Town Centre to Tecom. I don't which is the nearest but stop to Springs 9 but I think it takes about 30 minutes to Internet City Metro Station. It drives around the Greens for a bit (which also have a few cafes and restaurants, a Choitrams, etc)

I can't answer many of your questions, but as you have had no response as yet I thought I'd do what I can. We are in a 3 bed in Springs 15 and our DEWA bills vary from 200aed in the winter to 1700 in the summer (exc housing fees). You can get buses from Springs Drive that will take you to the Metro - they appear to run very regularly - but I haven't checked out how often. You would be midway between Meadows Town Centre and Springs Village Centre - at the town centre there is a Spinneys, MacDonalds, Shakespeare, PinkBerry, Tavola, Mothercare, Claires, Indian Restuarant, Bakery, Haaya Gym, Beauty salons etc and at Village centre there is a Choitrams, small restuarant, health centre, dry cleaner etc. There is a mosque in each centre I have always loved the Springs area (also lived in Springs 6) - I loved the lakes and parks to walk my dogs and relax, lots of Springs communities have swimming pools, and I have made lots of friends here. Not everyone likes the area as some of the properties look uncared for, but each to their own. Have a search on EW for other comments. I would suggest having a drive around the area and getting a feel for it. HTH
