A few weeks ago I went as usual for my morning Starbucks... Always have a skinny latte on way to work. on the first sip I noticed it tasted different and after a couple more sips my mouth felt "slimy". Hot footing it back to the shop I asked if they had given me full cream milk by mistake. I was then told that Starbucks no longer use fresh milk and use long life! I visited several other branches to be told the same thing and that they have been getting lots of complaints. Obviously all the complaints are falling on deaf ears as they still continue to use long life milk. Are we paying the same price for our coffee when long life is cheaper? YES is the taste of Starbucks different YES.

Anyone else miss the REAL Starbucks???

The question is WHY would they use longlife milk? Its not like fresh milk is expensive here, and I would imagine with the amount of frappachinolattemachiatto's they turn out in a day, fresh milk doesn't get a chance to go off!

I dont bother with them anymore either, mainly because they don't do loyalty cards like costa does....buy 9, get 1 free. (I know its not much, but its an incentive) and I like my free stuff :) * Nero and cafe Arabicca at petrol stations also do loyalty cards)

Yes I noticed the longlife milk and have complained - no reply from Starbucks and I filled in the complaint form weeks ago - haven't been back since. I only like their White chocolate Mocha - back to drinking tea for me :(

Why bother with Starbucks - they're attitude is pretty poor. So many other places make far better coffee IMHO

I don't have milk but my husband has been complaining about it as he can't stand the long life stuff either. If you ask them specifically, they often have fresh milk. If not, there's usually another coffee place nearby that does use fresh. Seems like an idiotic decision, we can't be the only customers they are losing.

I filled in a customer feedback form complaining, like they care. since they changed milk I haven't bought a coffee there. The frappacino's now taste terrible!
