Sorry ladies for another question regarding our Cape Town trip. Is it possible to do the following all in one day? Or with little kids in tow, will it be pushing it?
* Spier Wine Farm
* Franschoek
* Drakenstein Lion Park
* Le Bonheur Croc Farm
* Cheetah Outreach
* Eagle Encounters
* Giraffe House

Thanks that has helped a lot. I'm sure I will have many more questions to ask before our trip.

I think Frankschoek is a half day trip and you would want to walk around the little shops and things. It is so beautiful here that you wouldn't need to do half of those things! Also, the wine farm is a few hours at least and enjoyable when you relax there- with the kids!

Yes, Kalk Bay, Boulders and Simonstown and the Cape Point is better than Hout Bay on its own. But drive back from Cape Point via Hout Bay to go over the Chapmans peak drive with breathtaking views over the Atlantic ocean... stunning Edited to say that Hout Bay has a mountain pass across to the Southern suburbs and only 15 mins to the Constantia wine valley, Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens are close-ish and of course world of birds in Hout Bay is lovely. From there you can explore Cape Point etc. edited by hilsbils on 08/10/2012

For our trip in the Hout Bay area, we will be staying at Le Marais, so we have a good couple of days. I'm just not sure which to do when?

Hi yesandno Ok for me, a trip to Simonstown is a must! Where abouts in Cape town are you staying? You could do the coastline in a day, starting at Muizenburg, taking a stop in Kalkbay for a coffee and a walk about, carry on to Simonstown...have another stop, maybe go see the Penguins... Then carry on to Cape Point which is beautiful!!! Also, I would HIGHLY recommend Ruben's in Franschoek for dinner or lunch, but you must book! Franschoek needs a few hours to be explored properly!

Thanks so much for the advice. I think I might have to cut out the lion park, croc farm, and giraffe house then. Now another question for you, how about a trip to Hout Bay? How would you recommend splitting this day in Hout Bay area: * Hout Bay * World of Birds * Cape of Good Hope * Flying Dutchman * Boulders Beach * Simon’s Town * Scratch Patch * Cape Point Ostrich Farm * Imhoff Farm

Yes that is a lot going on,.... and Franshoek needs its own time. Spier & cheetahs & eagles are all together in the one place. Be sure to have lunch at Moyo in Spier.The weekends get very busy. Best food in the district is Tokara between Franshoek and Stellenbosch http://www.tokara.co.za/

Hi there, and it's definitely too much to do for a couple let alone with kids, your can probably do max 3 things. Franshoek is so pretty u don't wanna rush it, perhaps an animal encounter in the morning followed by lunch in Franshoek and spier/animal visit in the afternoon. Hope it helps
