My daughter will be 21 in a month and as I special birthday present I'd love to take her away for a week. She loves animals so an animal sanctuary where we could play with tiger cubs etc would be great and a short stay in a health farm where we could have healthy meals, meditate, yoga, beauty treatments etc. I am willing to travel but not a long haul flight as it kinda takes away half the pleasure of a short trip so somewhere within 3-4 hours by plane maximum. I have been looking online and found a couple of places but would but rather do a recommendation from here.

Thank you in advance, so excited about this trip, first time we will ever have done something like this alone and surprisingly, she is also excited.

I have friends that went to this elephant orphanage in Kenya and fostered a baby: http://www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/index.asp

Think is alot cooler next month. They did a detox/meditation/yoga/exercise thing in the mountains. I will see them at the weekend and can ask them if you like

Sounds like Thailand might fit your bill! I spent a week in Bangkok with my 20 year old daughter last year and we had such fun! We stayed at the Sheraton Orchid which is lovely. They had a water taxi, great way to get around and see the place from the water. Complimentary for guests complete with water and refreshing towels. We visited the weekend market and night market. Had amazing meals and a great Thai massage. Although we didnt go there, I do know there is a place run by Monks where you can breakfast with tiger cubs. I have just googled it ! Have fun!!! http://www.bangkokdaytours.com/toursubcat.asp?scid=90
