We enjoy a roast at home too, but my stove is a bit dodgy. I can't get used to the heat settings for timing, and the rings on the stove top take on a life of their own when the oven's been on for a while, so it turns out to be a stressful time trying to get everything on the table at once.

We have roast once a week too, Jetset. Yummo. And when I do roast chicken, I make enough stuffing for three x chooks and freeze two extra 'meals'-worth' in freezer containers to have for the next time. I heart roast dinners. Big time. :D

So easy to do at home..... roast veggies... pumpkin, potatoes, sweet potatoes, garlic, shallots... even brussel sprouts.... and then roast lamb or chicken or beef or pork.... lots of garlic and gravy... leftovers for the next day.. I cook a roast at least once a week.. delicious!!!

For a much cheaper version, the Crown and Lion in Byblos, Tecom usually offer a roast on Saturday, only one meat choice, but it can vary so no way of knowing what today's will be.
