Me and my husband are visiting Switzerland and Austria next week. I am looking forward to buying a couple of Swarovski sets for regular use. Is it worth buying it from there? We will be visiting the Swarovski museum but I am assuming it will be too expensive to buy it from the museum shops...Are there any reasonably priced outlets that anyone can suggest?

Thanks in advance :)

Thank you so much Cookiethecat and iveranodxb :) Now I definitely look forward to some awesome shopping in Austria :) We will be in Austria for 4 nights and we will be staying in Mayrhofen...I am not sure if we would be able to make a trip to Vienna (since its the other end) but we will definitely try to :) I hope I get some good deals in the museum shops. If anyone knows about some good shops in the western side of Austria, I would like to know.

smileys, there are Swarovski shops almost in each corner on Vienna streets and the main shopping street that they have there. I went right after the new year of 2012, and everything was between 50% to 75% on discount! If you love Swarovski you will feel like you are in Wonderland :) I visited most of Swarovski shops there but one of them was very big, 3 floors (I have many pics for me standing outside the shop with the bags haha), this shop has also Swarovski Elements where you can buy separate crystals with different designs of metals in the same corner and you can make your own earrings, necklace... As for the price.. Oh God!! One thing I can tell you, after visiting Austria last year, I stopped buying anything from Swarovski shops here, not even the duty free, the prices there are just unbelievable.. After all the purchase, they even gave me lot of crystal gifts and they give you new boxes and Swarovski bags in case you want to gift any of the items you bought.. And dont forget to keep all the bills together so you can claim the 10% tax back at the airport :) I did not go to the museum as it was far from the city but it should be the same, you might probably find them even cheaper than the shop that i visited in one of vienna's streets :) Even if you dont visit during Christmas time, their prices are still much much cheaper than duty free and Swarovski shops.
