We are considering to put our money in Jersey or Isle of Man until we decide what we are going to do with our lives.
Anybody can tell me their experience?
Thanks

I'm from jersey! depending on the bank/financial institution, they have minimum deposits...eg standard chartered is 100k...can't remember what hsbc's is but it's a lot - they made me close my jersey account after a few years of living away as i didn't keep enough in it! HSBC is 100k. Lloyds are better, you just hve to deposit X amount every month (cant remember the exact amount but it is do-able)

have you been into Lloyds and talked to them about it? They were very helpful with us.

Apparently if we move every month an amount we do not need to put some much to start with - but you compromise yourself to transfer every month a certain amount... Also they said that they will give us 2 credit cards and 2 debit cards to use in Euros and Pounds without any charge and we can take the money out if we tell them 15 days in advance. So everything are advantages, that is why it makes me think that they are hiding something....

I think HSBC and Lloyds had a minimum deposit of 25 thousand pounds... you can find all the information on their website though, both HSBC and Lloyds.
