So, we are thinking of going to Thailand next year in March/April and South Africa in October/November.
I have a few questions about Thailand, my boy will be 18 months by then. He is very active and is already running, loves to go to parks, etc
We would go for 2 weeks, and would go to Bangkok and some other city (Phuket, Koh Samui, Pattaya?)
We like the beach but wont like to go there just to be on the beach everyday, we would like to do some other activities as well, see animals, cultural activities, etc. So,
-How toddler friendly is Bangkok?. We would like to see the main tourist attractions, it this doable with a toddler?
-Is it March/April a good time to visit Thailand?
-What other city would you recommend with nice beaches and other fun things to do?
- Should I go somewhere else?.
TIA

Did Phuket and Koh samui with 11 month old, 2 and three year old. Thailand is effect for children of any ages as the people are so welcoming to kids. Always feel so relaxed there including in restaurants. Lve it so much going to Phuket and Bangkok for xmas and new year this year with four and 9 year old. Enjoy.

Hi imolinar! We were in Thailand over the summer (bangkok and Phuket) with a whole range of ages of kids. Mine were 13 months and 4 years old, and we also had a two year old, 7 year old and another 4 year old. It was very child friendly. You can pretty much do all of the tourist attractions with kids. What you can't do are the more adventurous activities, such as zip wiring through the jungle, etc, but you can do everything else! You can take children with you on elephant rides, on the boat/canoe trips, etc. there wasn't a time that we were told no you can't go. You can even take your children to some of the shows, such as Fanta Sea and Simon Cabaret, we went without our children but there were many children there (lol your toddler will be too young to understand the ladyboy thing!) We went in July and were told that the best time to visit is November - March, so I think that you're going at a good time. It rained a lot in July, but even that didn't stop us. The hotels also have very good babysitter services (all of whom are hotel staff) and we used that a couple of times - it was really cheap even though we were staying in 5-star hotels. I would definitely recommend Thailand with a toddler. We also went to Europe a month before that, and I'm lucky that my kids were good, but there isn't much for them to do there. Thailand was a lot more fun for the children.
