I can highly recommend Collin from Elysian Real eastate. He talks a lot :) but he is really nice. He is from the UK so no prob communicating. He's been here for only over 6months, as far as I remember, so he still has got that Western approach to things like calling you back, listening to what you actually want, etc.

Do most real estate agents know that in the majority of cases its the woman who makes the final decision on the home/house/apartment. Never never pee her off, listen to her and what she wants, will help you close the deal. lol... you're only a woman... do you actually want a balcony?

One of our primary criteria was a big balcony. We were shown 4 apartments with no balconies....IN THE SAME BUILDING....what do they think I'm going to walk in and love it. Do most real estate agents know that in the majority of cases its the woman who makes the final decision on the home/house/apartment. Never never pee her off, listen to her and what she wants, will help you close the deal.

and now I've started - the descriptions leave a lot to be desired - rang one agent about his "corner unit" apartment and he said "you've seen it madam" - when I said that the one I'd seen wasnt a corner unit he told me it was a misprint

and the things they say.... saw one kitchen with only one socket by worktops - agent pointed out another high up near light switch and suggested I run extension cable from that - would have stopped me being able to open fridge door but hey ho cant have everything No such thing as 'elf and safety - kitchen, electricity, water.... no issues... Dubai really is full of dumb ducks!!!

Or they tell you: the window glass is shaded, nothing can't be seen from the ouside, so you won't even need the curtains :) then in the evening you look out to the building in front and see some guy in his boxer shorts watching telly heheh I wish at least he was good looking ;) hey, but there are good agents out there! rare, but they do exist!

Mind you I looked awful following a big brunch, but really! edited by littleone on 10/10/2011 really?? - that's too funny :) It wasnt with a hangover and I got all prissy over it, so I asked her to show me a big 3 bedroom which was way way over our budget. Wasted her time and mine, but got a good squizz at a big apartment!

As a potential tenant I have the dubious pleasure of paying you thousands of Dirhams for your inefficient service – in return do you think that you could PLEASE... switch your phone on… answer your phone... return my call as you promised... don’t take me to wrong building... don’t take me to “open” apartment that turns out to be locked... don’t just not turn up for appointments... don’t cancel appointments at last minute... don’t blame your incompetency on landlords and tenants...do keep up to date on properties that are now let, so that I don’t have to tell you… don’t advertise properties at one price just to add on thousands when you think I am remotely interested that’s all I ask, apart from the above you’re doing a great job
