Looking to book a holiday from Dubai, but can anyone recommend good travel agent?. Do you know if they have insurance like UK ABTA bond, to protect your money in event of agent going bust? thanks

Hi Rubberduck, if planning a cruise, why don't you just book with RCI directly? Or book with a travel agent you know from back home?? I have an online business and 100% of my clients are from overseas... I get asked this question a lot especially when booking online. They have access to my accreditation online, and they can always check with the authorities in Australia. So you can do the same for your agent.... Check with IATA as well...

Visit Al Arabi travel, they have been here since 1992 and they are independent so not forced to seel Emirates products all the time. Very knowledgable and reliable - http://www.alarabitravel.ae/page.aspx?id=N1LkwJKyfl4=&t=Contact_Us

Rubberduck you need to call dnata. They are the largest and most reputable travel agents in the Middle East not just dubai. You can call 8008118 and they will advise you on cruises and travel insurance products.

Thanks Suzy, but planning a cruise with RCI. Just a bit nervous about handing over money to travel agent in case they go bust- just happened to a major cruise agency in UK. I don't know what safety net is in place here?
