Sorry, Sue62, not on Snopes (that's what I searched for and came up with a different link then carelessly wrote 'snopes' on here!). I read this: http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread558155/pg2
As you say, not an urban myth, but misleading....
Talking of iron and extra strength ... app there is a wrist band which atheletes use core inner strength thingy .. cost 200AED here ... didnt think it was true until I tried one on .. simple test .. you stand with one leg resting on the other at calf level and hold out your arm .. bit like an extended teapot ... and get someone to press your arm down towards the floor easy peasy you topple over ... pop on the band and retry the same steps ... inner core strength improved ... didnt give it much kudos at first but then i tried on the band ... wheyhey ! no topple ...
have ABSOLUTLEY no idea why you would want to stand like a teapot and be toppled over if your an athelete before anyone starts...
maybe some fitness fan may be able to provide the answers ...

Why does he not mention that they are "food grade" iron filings, like everyone else does when you google this lol

@dlt - what did you search for on Snopes ? - i couldn't find anything... (probably because it isn't a hoax as such, just misleading)
This is not the kind of “iron” you want to be eating. These intentionally contaminated cereasl are passed off on consumers as containing a beneficial additive while in fact it supplies the body with nothing except heavy metal toxicity!
