A peroxide wash is what the hairdresser will have to do anyway. Its not that damaging to the hair as its only on for a few minutes. I worked as a colourist in Vidal Sassoon so I do know what I’m talking about.

do not try and strip the colour out of your hair. Go straight to a salon and have them fix it...professionally...or, wait it out until it fades, or. cut it off when everything you try breaks and drys out your hair lol...

OK, this will strip the colour out of your hair but not completely. You need to buy some 30% or 9 volume peroxide (make sure its cream not liquid if possible) you need to mix even amounts with shampoo and shampoo your hair, leave for 5 mins and rinse off. You can repeat the process again if it’s still too dark. This will lighten it enough for you to go to a reputable hairdresser and have it coloured professionally. HTH

MIRDIFMUMMY, you really should go to a GOOD salon with a colourist who knows what they are doing. The damage you risk doing to your hair (depending how long it is) could take years to undo. No need to be embarrassed...a decent salon will be glad you came in for help.

No, it will most likely be lighter or a little uneven. Having dyed my hair several times and tried to fix my mistakes until my head looked like it had five shades of red in it, my advice is suck it up and go and get a professional to fix it- trying to fix it myself I damaged it quite badly. I know it seems expensive to go to a salon, but I really wish I had much earlier...

Thank you SemiSaudi and Worried123, was hoping not to have to venture out to a salon! Looks like I might have to or live with it but I can't see it fading very soon, it is so rich looking! How stupid can I be? Arghh

Be warned, that stuff is strong- your hair may be a bit dry for a while after...

There is a product called "Dyze-Off", many salons use it to strip colour from the hair. They dont sell it anywhere but i think if you called any western salon they might be able to sell you a bottle. Try Essentials Salon on Al Wasl Road.

Ok, so when the hair dye bottle says it is 'medium brown' it lies!!! Well you may say I am mad but I was fed up and after being blonde all my life I decided I wanted to go brown! only thing is, it's soooooooo dark it's black! OMG, what can I do? After three attempts at going brown in three weeks (the first two turned gingery brown and was neither one co our or another hence this latest attempt). Anyway to cut a Long story short, I want to go back to blonde ! I cannot go to the hairdressers, would be too embarrassed. Can I change back? Is there an products out there that will get arid of this brown/black so i can go back to being blonde? Please help ASAP. :(
