Is it possible to withdraw money from our Visa Electron in Australia?
Card is issued in Emirates bank.
I heard of some problems with paying with visa electrons there?
Can anyone confirm this?
TIA

I found that my cards only worked as payment in the swipe machines but not in the ATM's at all, (inspite of having been told by my bank here that they would work) not even at my own international bank's branch there. This was a couple of years ago, but I understand that it is neccessary still for cards to be enabled internationally and they must carry either the CIRRUS, PLUS or STAR international ATM mark or the Interlink or Maestro POS mark. edited by Di@DXB on 11/11/2011

yes, you can withdraw from ATMs, and you can also pay using your card at most shops, think you have to choose current account rather than savings.
