If I were you I would cut out the lunchtime one, it's a waste of time. prob 5 mins at about 2am and the same at about 8.30 pm. The timings would also depend on when the gardener comes as well. If you water in the day it just evaporates or burns the plants and grass.
just wanted some bits of advice on watering a garden, we have a medium sized grassed garden with a pool and just wanted to know what was the most effective regime for watering.
We have an irrigation system which waters in phases, is currently set at midnight for 2 mins, 12.30 lunchtime for 1 min and 8.30pm for 2 mins. The gardener gives it a good water about 2-3 times a week and it seems to be doing ok in this hot weather. But I just wondered if it would be better to give it a better soaking overnight during darkness and then not do the lunchtime one and/or early evening.... any advice on water saving welcome.
I just feel I should be doing the best regime possible for growth and maintenence and also saving a little on the DEWA, if that's possible!?
thanks
