My sister had a Sri Lankan maid and she paid her AED1800. Her household duties were cleaning, ironing etc. She didn't have to look after the kids or baby sit. One day off a week. Hours of work were 8 til 6.
We are currently renegotiating with our maid and I would like to put some feelers out there as to how much we should pay her a month? Any advice appreciated - no judgements made :)
She is full time live in
She is Sri-Lankan (I know it is not supposed to matter where she is from but apparently in Dubai it does)
We pay for her phone / internet and TV
Gets Fridays off, and a couple of other afternoons a week
We allow her husband to live with us as well. They buy their own food.
