I just called Al Barsha Post office to enquire about getting a po box and they said they only had boxes at Discovery gardens....not sure where these are......are they close to ibn battuta??

When you come from Ibn Battuta Mall and drive towards the Discovery Gardens, you need to continue straight ahead at the main traffic light. The PO Boxes are to your left hand sight, in front of the restaurants and small shops, I guess just after the first small round-about.

They are in different places. When you go in to register yourself for a box they should give you a map which shows. When you drive towards AD on SZR, take the exit after the last one for Marina/JBR and drive straight at the traffic light by Ibn Battuta. Discovery Gardens are on your left - not so easy to navigate through but it is organised in clusters so use that to find the location of your PO Box. Just beware, it took us a good 3-4 months to receive any mail!!! We kept on complaining to Emirates Post as the banks, etisalat etc claimed our letters were being sent, but sadly EP were not interested in hearing us. We now receive most of our post - not sure where the rest lands which is not too reassuring considering there are bank and credit card statements supposedly lost somewhere in EP.
