I'm looking for the fresh leaves to make dolma. Not the ones found in jars at the supermarket. Thanks;)

Hi Ginnee, The greek dolmas are pretty much the same as the middle eastern ones. Maybe a few different ingredients. My hubby is Palestinian and I'm Greek/Mexican. I have an aunt coming from the states, and she asked if we have fresh vine leaves here. I'm off to lifco or wafi.

Thank you so much Ginnee! I never would have thought of Wafi Gourmet. The fresh ones are much more tastier. Have a great time in Lebanon.:) Thanks luv! I used to help myself to the neighbours vine leaves in australia!! I'd be interested to know if your recipe is the same as the lebanese one

I'm looking for the fresh leaves to make dolma. Not the ones found in jars at the supermarket. Thanks;) The ones in the jars are horrible, arent' they!! I would try Wafi Gourmet at Wafi mall, they have a big variety of fresh ingredients used in lebanese cooking (the lebanese call it Warra Anab). but maybe call first??? There is a lebanese grocery store somewhere around too, called Lipco or something like that. the other ladies might know iit. good luck!! I'm off to lebanon soon hopefully, so will be sneaking some back in ;)
