Hi everyone,

I am a concerned mom, I want a very good School for my child- I have been searching and searching, reading reviews, and asking people about schools.

I have Shortlisted few schools:

Dubai English Speaking School
Star International school-Mirdif
Deira International School
Victoria international school Sharjah
The school of Research Science
The international school of creative science - sharjah

Kindly guide and give your input if anyone's kids are in any of the above mentioned school?
or any other school you people would like to recommend.

Fees of the schools are really high, but I want a school with Excellent Teachers, and Strong Curriculum-I prefer UK curriculum.

Thanks,

Yes, Arabic is compulsory for non arabs as a second language & also Islamic studies for all Muslims. None muslims are exempted from Islamic studies

Hi wickedangel_78. I am looking for more information on Ajman Academy. Does your child still go there and how do you find it? Regards, Banu Hi, I moved him to VISS this semester after spending 3.5 yrs at Ajman Academy. There are many changes going on there after the change of management at the beginning of this Academic year 2016/2017 I was happy earlier but with the changes it was frustrating for the parents & we didn't have a clue where the school is heading to so I had to move my child. In addition the traffic from our side towards the school was increasing and it started to get exhausting for us. I don't have much feedback anymore, nothing seriously negative about school , many are still happy with Ajman Academy but it wasn't the right place for us any more I hope this helps

Hi HinaDanish, I agree with silvstet, for me too ,only Dess vil b th choice from that list. But there are many other good schools around.....I've heared good things about schools like-Dubai international school(DIA),Emirates international jumeirah,Dubai college,Jumeirah eng. speaking school(JESS),Dubai American academy(DAA) etc....It also depends on the type of curriculum u want ur child to study in,e.g.-IB,British or American.....good luck

My son goes to Ajman Academy , it is an IB/ PYP school with a British curriculum. I live in Sharjah and that was the best option for us. I went to VISS for assessment 3 yrs back but I wasn't impressed by their attitude. Ajman Academy fee starts from 32,000 in FS1 This is my son's 3rd year there & I'm happy with the school so far

My little one is at Dubai British School in The Springs and he loves it - it's so close to home and loving being able to walk there in this weather. There is a great community feel there so you don't feel like you are alone, the teachers are fab (he always has a new favourite).

Only DESS would be an option for me, from that list.

I don't have personal experience of any of those schools, but I can say I wouldn't go to Star International. A couple of years ago our school got a huge influx of children that had left Star and there were a lot of negative experiences told.
