Hi Ladies
Im thinking of buying kitchenaid mixer from amazon in US but am wondering if it would work here in Dubai and in UK? i read somwhere that electrical appliences from US will not work here becouse of voltage? Could anyone help me please? Thank you

I brought my kitchenaid mixer with me from US. I don't advice you to use it here. I plugged mine in one day thinking I would give it a try. Well the lowest, slowest setting was like a jet engine! Needless to say, there was flour and everything clear to the living room! I am fortunate it still works, but it is stored away for the hope I will move back home one day and be able to use it.

Hello! Alas...they will not work here, and if they do it will be for a short time as the voltage is different. Even with an adapter, I am told that it will burn out. Left mine back home too! :-(

P.S I just had a look on English ebay and there are loads of kitchenaids from USA so if they are selling them on english ebay they must work then in UK? Oh, gosh i think I confused even myself...
