Hi Freckle - We've been out here for nearly three years, lived in an apt in the Greens first - The Links and have now been in The Lakes for a year. I absolutely love it, fantastic location, community and villas, perfect for young families. Its a big change moving out here but I'm sure you will love it, let your hubbies company do as much as possible for you! Daisy D - would love to meet up with you and the other May ladies for a cuppa! :)

Thanks DaisyD. Have been keeping an eye on Dubizzle since September but got really confused when the relocation agent showed us around back then as to where to live. I thought it might be better living in an appartment somewhere near the Marina but now I am swaying towards a villa. Anyone any idea of what The Lakes is like? Or where would be best for young families? We had to give our marriage cert to OH's work to sort out residency visas so I'm not sure if it has been attested or not?

Hi Freckle, dont worry the market is quite good for apts/villas at the moment so you should find somewhere quite easily.... Dubizzle.com is a great site if you havent tried this already make sure you attest your marriage certificate before you leave as you will need this to apply for a visa for the baby in dubai when it is born hope the move goes ok!

Hi everyone, Looks like there are quite a few of us expecting around the same time! Congratulations everyone. Would definitely be up for meeting for a coffee when I eventually make it over. Our visas are being processed at the moment. Very excited but scary at the same time! Have the mammoth task of finding somewhere to live when we arrive. Baby kicking alll the time and all over the place. Last night it was right under my belly button. It's great that OH can feel baby now.

Hi ladies, congratulations everyone! We are having a girl, so very excited...although would have been happy with boy or girl Kim.a I also feel her kick very low in my tummy, just above my pelvis...it's lovely feeling her move! she is particularly active at night No mention of glucose test yet but i have another appt in a couple of weeks, Im seeing Dr Koster, who is everyone else delivering with? I havent bought anything yet, but my hubby thinks im pram obsessed at the moment! frustrated at lack of choice and the expense of these things here compared to the uk....anyone else found that? think of getting things shipped over from the UK as i want a P&T pram and its so expensive here would be nice to meet for a coffee? where is everyone based? im in downtown

Hi im also due in may, at the moment my due date is on may 18th. I did not want to find out what we were having, but hubby really wanted to know so we found out at our 20 week scan. We having a girl. Has anyone else started getting baby things yet? As of yet I have not bought anything, but got a few things from friends. My first was a boy, but we had him in the uk and when we moved over, we left all his baby things, so we have nothing(except the few bits we have been given) I love feeling her move in my tummy, but she is very low down, when I do feel her kick, its always really low (almost like she is standing in my tummy) does that make sense? and where do you feel your little ones kick most? I'm going for my glucose test within the next 2 weeks of so, fingers crossed....

Interesting reading your previous thread, nice to hear everyone is in the same boat. We have decided not to find out the *** and keep it a surprise, do you know what you're having? Have any other ladies had a glucose test? I think its a matter of course in the UK now but out here its if the Dr thinks you need it? 3 blood tests, plus urine and 2 hours in the surgery, not so much fun but fingers crossed the results will be OK!

Hi there, I'm also due around the same time 12th May. How are you finding the pregnancy? I'm loving feeling the movements and seeing my belly grow, not so much loving the heartburn however :) xx
