My 7 months old niece is driving everyone crazy by continuously crying at night. Pediatrician after pediatrician has examined her and nothing seems to be wrong with her health wise. She eats well too. We really don't know what to do next :( . My sister looks completely disillusioned now. some advise please.

Lol when I was pregnant with no3 we were all saying I hope this baby isn't as difficult as no 2 I hope I hope. About a month before he was born my sister said you know he could be worse! I nearly died! But he came out and has been a breeze... Eats when he should, sleeps and doesn't cry :) very happy baby.

My DD cried continuously for ONE YEAR! The first year of her life I was suffering, she would just cry, eat, fall asleep, wake up minutes later crying again, eat, scream... It was a painful year for both myself and my son. After she turned one she began to stop it, still high maintenance but better. I put it down to it being her personality as even now sh is very dramatic. At the time I considered: - she was not getting enough milk from me; - transferred stress (I was very stressed out, in a very tough place, I thought she was picking that up); - not enough interaction with others Best of luck to your sister - I know how stressful this can be, but it does get better. Snap it's like you had my little girls twin! She's a litlte angel now but my hubby and I still don't know how we survived that first year :)

What stuff is she eating during the day? We found DS to be ok during the day but nights have always been huge issues for us until recently. We tried sooooo many sleep methods etc and have found much of his problems related to his diet. No dairy or wheat now and he sleeps through. I can see right back to 6-7 months and giving him yoghurt and even his formula etc, he was rather windy during day at times but because of moving around and playing with toys etc he was able to get rid of some of the wind... Night time not so. A few hints that it could be diet is wind during the day, constipation or even the opposite almost with a number of #2s during the day, belly looks bloated, burping still after milk feeds (this was our big one, DS used to burp after every bottle and then about 1 hr after sleep time he would wake crying until we settled him, he would relax and burp again and go straight back to sleep... DS is 19 mths now and we've only just worked out all these issues with food, he now doesn't need burping after bottles - no wind, he is on rice milk). If I come across issues like this when DS 2 arrives the first thing I will be doing is checking diet! Hth.

Is she sleeping during the day a lot?, she needs to be put to sleep by 8 pm the latest. I would recommend you to read "the no cry-solution" guide to sleep.
