April 2012 due date?

Oh CitronKB how exciting! Give us an update after your appointment. I'm going in on Thursday to see my doctor, she wanted to see me before the weekend so that she could get an idea of whether I would be likely to go into labor over the weekend. CABear, I'll call you tomorrow (Tuesday) for a chat. I can finally make it through a sentence without coughing! This cold is on it's way out but I'm still very phlemy with a chesty cough. Poor DH has been sneaking off to the guest room during the night because of my "loud breathing". I think it's more likely because he's discovered the guest bed is more comfortable than our own!

Hi everybody well it might be me who will deliver first! on my last week doc visit she said this baby is definitely coming in March not in April as Im ready:-O doc is worried about my water retention and possible blood pressure problems so she said she would rather have me delivered sooner then later. So my next app is Wed and she said to come ready with a suitcase in next she needs to admit me for delivery! oh how nerve wracking it is! fingers cross for all of us ladies. hello everyone :) yes the times are coming near and i am getting so anxious. trying to get the house in order (laziness of the past few months) but i just keep on sitting and look at the mess :)so many things on to do list but none has been ticked off so far!! heartburn is getting terrible and i have rashes again so at night i am busy with itching. getting very less sleep. its so difficult to sleep on side specially only on left.

Good morning April mommies-to-be! We're all getting so close now. I am feeling huge and uncomfortable but am trying to enjoy these last couple of weeks before baby arrives. CoffeeGal, I am so sorry you're not feeling well! Maybe it's your body's way of telling you to get lots of sleep and relaxation before the baby comes and you forget what that is!! Hello April mommie! I was supposed to be due 13th April , however after my hospital visit last week my ob/gyn believes baby will be 2 weeks early!! Yikes!! Something to do with my cervix being very soft! So I thought I was all organised up until now, but now I'm feeling all nervous and excited as she is gonna be early and I feel like I still have loads to do!!!!

'ello, 'ello April Mommies-to-be! How is everyone? I was feeling SO excited/anxious for baby to arrive this week and then last Thursday I ended up at the doctor and have been put on antibiotics for a terrible cold/throat infection. It's been awful and now the last thing on my mind is our baby arriving! I don't know how I'd summon the energy for labor given how I'm feeling. I'm also disappointed that I made it through my whole pregnancy with only having to take a bit of heartburn medication and nothing else and now that I'm 38 weeks I'm on antibiotics and having to take Panadol twice a day. Unfortunately I can't take anything to help with my nasal congestion and my ears are blocked too which is incredibly uncomfortable. I can't taste anything and described my dinner last night as tasting like cardboard to me :-( I hope everyone else is enjoying their last few weeks better than I am at the moment. I was feeling so prepared but thought that I would have this last weekend to make some more food for the freezer and as it turns out I barely got out of bed. Dr. Elsa lectured my DH about giving some TLC and told him how to make homemade chicken soup - haha! His contribution to the soup was to buy a roast chook on his way home from work. I told him not to bother as I had already made the soup, finally a reason to use the frozen turkey stock I made at Christmas. This man does not know his way around the kitchen and I'm really afraid we will starve or live on take-aways the first few weeks after the baby comes..until my mom arrives to save the day. BUT I won't complain too much because he's so helpful in every other sense and even mopped the bathroom floor on Thursday eve when he got home from work because the maintenance men had been in to service our A/C and had made a huge mess of the floor. So, is everyone still on track for their due dates? Getting anxious, excited?

so I jumped on here last night to write my reply but accidentally clicked the cancel button on my ipad (god I hate touch screens!!) and then couldn't be bothered starting again. Today I'm on the laptop!!! No mistakes (unless brain not functioning... which of course is highly possible!) LOL. So sorry to hear your cheeky munchkin has gone loop to loop and swung the other way round CABear. Have fingers crossed for you that he / she turns back around in time for the grand entrance ;) I am similar story to you CoffeeGal, although cervix is still posteria at this stage. I have my strep B and check up tomorrow officially, but found myself at City Thursday afternoon being checked as I was having regular contracts (or what I thought were). My stomach was tightening up between 10-18 mins and it felt exactly as it did with DS1 and I had no idea I was actually in labour that day. So I thought I best get there to get checked. I think it was mostly me doing too much and putting too much stress on my body as the tightening happened when I was up walking around, but when sitting down in the hospital it basically stopped. Dr checked me and said cervix is soft but still towards the back so probably another 10-14 days taking me to the 37-38 week potentially 39 if I choose not to do the sweep at 38 like I did with DS1. I was already in labour though when the dr did the sweep... just think it helped things on a little quicker, as I probably wouldn't have ended up in hospital until the night of the morning I actually had him, whereas the sweep just got things moving faster (I think)... and he was born 8am. My DH is away too for a few days but away this week. Potentially has Abu Dhabi to go to on Wed and Thurs next week and week after but thats not too bad I suppose. He is back Wednesday this week. Tonight I have a bunch of girlfriends coming around for some pampering, we are having mani / pedi's and head / shoulder massages plus Thai T/A. mmm mmm!!! Should be a lovely evening :) I did something similar prior to DS1 too... not so much of a baby shower but figure baby will be spoilt enough when he gets here so really pampering mummy is required at this time :) All the best girls for who ever "pops" first ;) xox

Oh CABear that's awful! I'm sure your bubs is just having some fun and will let gravity take over and go back to head down. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. I'm 36 weeks now and at my last appointment the doctor told me that my baby's head is "engaged" in my pelvis and that she was surprised I wasn't waddling more (that comes and goes!). She thinks that I'm going to deliver around 38-39 weeks. I really hope so because in the last few days things have gotton SO uncomfortable! I feel like I need a crane to get myself off the couch and have to use the handle above the car door to get myself in and out - ugh. My DH is supposed to be away during my 37th week so I'm also hoping that bubs doesn't decide to come a bit early otherwise I'm alone. My doctor said she strongly recommended that he doesn't travel during that time as there is a risk I could go into labor. What to do, what to do. He's expected to travel for work so it's hard to not go although everyone knows that I'm expecting.

I'm 35+ weeks and baby has just turned breech!! He/she (don't know which) has been head down for ages but at last appointment the scan showed the baby had turned. The doctor says there is still enough room for it to turn around but I am worried too. I don't mind the c-section so much but I have two little ones at home and can't imagine them allowing me the time to recover. I had a c-section with my first and the recovery wasn't too bad but it's a different story when I have a 17 month old at home too. I am sleeping on my left side to encourage the baby to turn that way and also trying all the other tricks to encourage the baby to turn. I have another appointment next week so we'll see what the doctor says. Good luck jojobaaklini! If you end up with a c-section I think you will be surprised at how fast the recovery time is. So hows everyone doing? Starting to get really uncomfortable now? Ive just started my 33rd week and feel ok actually, better than i thought i would anyway! Although im sure that will change within the next 7 weeks......I did go for a scan last week though and since Week 28 my naughty little boy is breech and hasnt turned since? Dr keeps telling me its fine and he will turn but im so nervous that there wont be room and i"ll end up having a c-section. I really dont care as long as he comes out safely and healthy but im so worried about the recovery time after, i feel like i need to get back to some proper exercise and a c section will just slow me down? Anyone else Breech right now, or can share any experiences about trying to turn a breech, im still swimming and walking everyday, im climbing the walls to raise my legs and roaming the house on all fours(with the curtains closed!!!) but hes not having any of it and insists on staying upright!!! I am due April 9, but since I am having a c-section probably somewhere at the very end of March or so. My back is killing me, but I have to be patient. Only 1 month left to go.

into 32 week with the first baby and i am feeling so huge!! ok clothes have left my side...they don't wanna fit me :( i have only 3 pairs of clothes and i am sick of wearing them.... whenever i stand and walk i feel like somebody is putting pressure on my shoulders to sit down!! anybody delievering in international modern hospital around 25 april??

Feeling very huge and so awkward! Huge varicose vein downstairs isn't helping comfort levels either... Am hoping he will be a march baby ( anytime from the 20th) I kep telling him. We have one from baby shop, normally 550 or something like that and got it on sale for 400 for memory. It's been brilliant, I love it. There are twoin the baby shop similar colours, brown/ tan one is about 800 but then there is the cheaper one which we got and apart from extra padding on the more expensive I really don't know what the diff is. Ours is great!

SLC, I was at BabyShop today and their rocker/gliders are 799 and before Christmas they were on sale for 599! Strange that they would put the price up during the Shopping Festival. Babies R Us at Festival City had some for 699 and then they have a promotion that if you spend more than 500dhs you get a 100dhs gift certificate to use on your next shop so then it would only be 599 really. I just got one last week and I'm using it all the time to watch TV, it's SO comfy!

This is my first baby as well and I'm trying not to stress too much about all that needs to be done. Next on my list is to look for a rocking chair/glider. Coffeegal, thanks for that I feel better now :) I'm doing my antenatal classes at healthbay polyclinic as they are closer to where we live and they are on a Friday morning.

Priti99, one of my closest friends is a Doula and she keeps telling me not to get psyched out about the "pain". Yes, it will hurt but keep in mind that your body is designed to do this. She keeps stressing that childbirth shouldn't be overly painful and that modern medicine and doctors, movies etc..give us the wrong messages about pain and then that's all we can think about and focus on. It becomes a self-fullfilling prophecy. Are any of you attending the Ante-natal classes at City Hospital? My DH and I are going to do a few ad-hoc so will be there for the one about labor/delivery and newborn care. Maybe I'll see some of you there?

Hi, I'm due due April 13th! And I have just figured out it's Friday the 13th!! Not usually superstitious but can't help but feel a little at the moment!! I too am gonna be delivering at city hospital , had a tour couple of weeks ago and the ward and rooms are really nice. Am really scared as my pain threshold is zero!!
