Hi lec299, I'm due 29th March also with my first baby. I live in JLT so not very far from you. I am also in American Hospital having my 12 weeks scan on Saturday the 17th. It is quite hard to be here on our own for our first pregnancy and I would very happy to share experiences.

Hi Everyone, I have an appointment on Monday to confirm everything but I should be due around the 19th April. This is my second baby and am a little worried as my LO is only 8 months but we are very excited about having a new addition. Congratulations to you all!!

You won't be able to hear the heartbeat that early but you should be able to see it flickering in an ultrasound. coffeegal - I had bleeding with both of my first two pregnancies (very heavy with one) and everything turned out fine. It's very scary but just try to keep positive! btw - I'm a Canadian mom too, expecting my third April 7th.

I have my scan on monday i am 7 weeks i am really hoping to hear a heart beat..should i be able to hear a heartbeat at 7+ weeks? im so nervous fingers crossed

PS - CoffeeGal, I've heard that pregnancies can mirror our mother's pregnancies very closely. I just had a friend who had a healthy baby at full term - and she had bleeding at 12 weeks into her pregnancy, just as her Mum did with her. It's great that you saw the heartbeat. xx

Hello ladies, Can I join you? I'm due on 8th April and it's my first baby :-) Feel quite daunted by the fact everything is new anyway - and I'm doing it away from friends and family, so would love to have people to chat to in Dubai due around the same time. In UK at the moment (back in UAE next week) and had private scan yesterday at 8 weeks - saw the little heart flickering which was AMAZING to see! First appointment in UAE is 11.09 at the American Hospital. I'm based in the Marina if anyone fancies meeting for a coffee to chat :-)

I had my scan and blood tests on Sunday (Aug 28th) and all is well. I guessed my due date exactly as April 5th but as we know it can be give or take by a week or so either side. Heard and saw the heart beating - 166 bpm. My nausea seems to have subsided but my nose can still smell everything from a mile away. I've been craving mangos like crazy since the beginning, at least it's something healthy. I came home from a day out with a girlfriend last weekend and DH has some flowers on the table for me and a teddy for baby. So sweet, it's our first and we're too excited! I had some bleeding the other day and it was bright red, quite a lot too. I had a panty liner in because I've had spotting but this time I actually had to replace it with a pad. I was upset but I know that some bleeding is normal and my mom reassured me that she had bleeding the first 3 months. Still upsetting. I'm looking forward to the first trimester being over so that I can participate in some prenatal exercise classes and announce the news officially to our friends.
