CG9 - I hope that everything turns out fine. I can totally understand you being worried but as my midwife had told me -remember when I had my NT problem- try to stay positive and do not worry as it is not good for the baby. I'm sure in the end everything will turn out just fine!!!! xxx

Hello Ladies, Just back from my Anomaly scan. Everything seems okay but baby has mild dilatation of renal pelvis, left more than right (measuring 8.5 X 6 mm). I have a follow up scan at 26wk. Must say I'm quite worried about it. I hope it resolves soon Xx

NP congrats on the test result, understand the relief! When I heard it I went shopping the next day and bought too much cute clothes. Nice to see the group is getting larger, would be nice to meet up sometime! Did anyone of you start with prenatal classes already? Think I will with 22 weeks or so after my Anomaly scan.

Jyoti_Joshi I'm having my 20w scan at Al Zahra hospital I do not know how much it costs as it is included in the antenatal package. Genesis Clinic at Healthcare is very good but it costs 1.500 aed.

Hi Ladies, Hope you're all doing well. I have my 20-21 week scan on 29th March can't wait to see my rockstar. Hi Jyoti, Welcome to the forum! I'm having my Anomaly scan (also known as 20th week scan, morphology scan or detail organ scan) at Fetal Medicine Center and its costing 1200dhs (single pregnancy) and an additional 250dhs for 4D. If you have insurance, its usually covered. edited by CG9 on 20/03/2014

Angel Joy congrats!!!! I visited Al Zahra hospital today and Dr Yamini and really liked them both so I purchased the antenatal package there. Baby is perfectly fine. Was moving all the time so the Dr could not measure well, but it was very fun to watch!!! I have my 20 week scan scheduled for the 15th April so looking forward to it. Hope you are all doing fine!!!

Hello everyone!! I finally had my NIPT results yesterday and my baby in absolutely fine!!!!! I'm so excited...I can finally relax and enjoy my pregnancy!! And we also confirmed that it is a GIRL...double excitement!!! I have decided to go for Al Zahra hospital and have booked an appointment for next week. Let's hope I like the doctor. As for cravings, nothing yet. But I can finally eat some meat. I haven't eaten meat since the begining of the pregnancy, It smelled so much and tasted so wrong...but today I managed to eat meatballs...yiei!!! Let's see if it lasts.

Hi ladies.... Congrats to you all... I am 15 weeks 2 days with my forth child. I have lived in Dubai for 4 years now but new to having babies here... My youngest is almost 10. Am currently with medcare and thinking of having bubs there but have heard some not so good things about it. Anyone heard or experienced a good natural birth experience there??? Hi Kybes39, Congratulations and welcome to the group. My friend delivered her first baby at Medcare in Oct '13, it was a natural birth and she has nothing but high regards for her dr (she was with Dr Luthra) the team and the hospital. edited by Dipz20 on 10/03/2014

Hi NP & TFK - I know its easier said than done but try not to stress and do keep us updated on the progress. Yoga was great and I throughly enjoyed it. I'm eagerly awaiting my 20 wk scan. I never had nausea but off late I've started to feel extremely sleepy, I'm not tired but just sleepy, lots of mood swings and I start crying for no apparent reason :( Thanks to the hormones!! I still haven't felt any movements yet, I've heard that ftm tend to feel a lil later on and cant wait to feel the first flutters. Anyone started feeling the flutters? edited by Dipz20 on 06/03/2014

Good morning, Any news on your NIPT, NP? My NT was also far off, so let me know when you have any questions. I am with a gyneacologist in my home country as well for this reason. However, most of them are born perfectly fine, so wouldn't worry too much. Pilates, what to say, I think this is the first day I don't have muscle aches anymore! So, it is super effective! But pilates is not really my thing, so will start with yoga again. I heard we can still do the normal classes, does anyone know? How was your yoga Dipz20? And Destination Maternity was a success? Think I will go tomorrow. Have a nice day!

Hey NP hope your nausea passes soon. not to discourage but with my first pregnancy i had for full 9 months so i was kind of prepared this time too. atleast it has reduced to evenings only. the growth of the baby varies so much. I didn't go with the NT scan as one doctor said i am 13 weeks whereas my gynae (who returned from the holiday) said that i am already 14 weeks. so we didn't had the scan.Crossing fingers and hope your results are fine.

Hello Ladies, I did have my NT scan a week ago but the results were not very good so now I'm waiting for the NIPT results to come and hope for the best. I truly believe that everything is gonna be fine with my baby as I had the NT scan at 13w+3d and it is common for the measurement to be higher at that stage (if i had known I would have had it earlier!!!) but as you can imagine my spirit is not very high... Apart from that, as ANGEL JOY, my nausea is still prominent in evenings and i am getting a few migraines lately but I hope it will all end soon!!! TKF2014 - As for the baby boy boom...I may be the exception...80% princess but will know for sure in 10 days (with the NIPT results). TKF2014 & Dipz20 - Please do tell us how pilates and yoga went. I need to start some gymnastics as I have a history of back problems and I'm very afraid that I'm gonna start feeling them pretty soon! xxx

Thanks Dipz20! I would be happy when I did not show, I had a charity ball yesterday and felt quite fat in my dress. I guess we have to get used to it, we will become so much bigger! It wasn't the NT test, but NIPT, this is a blood test which gives the gender 100% accurate, next to testing chromosomes. I am with Dr. Salihi, Whitehouse Cinic. But have been to my home country and will go again with 20 weeks for extensive specialist tests, my NT was not ok. Seems the baby is healthy but will know for sure at 20 weeks. I heard destination maternity should be ok in Dubai Mall. Where will you go for yoga? I have my first prenatal pilates class today at Real Pilates, let's see how that goes! Wonder if anyone will be expecting a girl in this group, it seems like all pregnant women are expecting boys these days! X

Congrats to all of you! Welcome to the group TFK 2014. I feel I'm the only one who is not showing and feeling a bit left out :(. I know it's there somewhere hiding under my flab ( I'm a UK 14 size) but just can't wait for it to show. TFK 2014, my Dr had said 70% boy at my NT scan but then it got 100% confirmed at at 16wk scan. Which hospital/ Dr are you with? Angel joy - I hope your nausea passes quickly and you feel better soon I have my morphology scan on 29th March at fetal medicine center also planing to start prenatal yoga from next week. Any idea where I can get maternity yoga pants? Xx edited by Dipz20 on 02/03/2014
