Hi Jossie
Im expecting on the 7th August - I was with Britt for my first delivery in april last year.
Happy to chat to you about it if you would like, and now, you have a pregnanct friend in Dubai :-)
Moo
Hi there all Mommies, I am an older pregnant mom, due date early August. Have 2 boys in school already. Need some advice on various things, have only been in Dubai for 1 year. At this moment, I feel very detached from everyone. Nobody I know is pregnant, and I feel very disconnected from friends/family in home country. That happens when you become an expat! Both boys were delivered early (natural birth) One 4 weeks and other one 6 weeks early. I was told that this will most probably be the same this time around. I have an appointment with Dr Britt Claussen. Can anyone give me any feedback on her and City Hospital. Thank you very much.
Congratulations
Your notes will say no C section (unless necessary) so there is no reason why she would try and push one onto you. You will only need to pop to the hospital to make sure everything is ok in the 38th week and if the baby comes early then it is unlickely you will need a c section as your body will be kicking it out naturally so try not to worry too much.
I dont know anything about Dr Deb as I had Dr Britt for my first and she was around when I needed her. I would have gone with someone else if she was planned to be away the last few weeks of my pregnancy
Hi Guys,
My EDD is 7th Aug 2014, I'm at city hospital with Dr Elsa but got to know that she will be on leave for 2 weeks around end July ( i.e my 38th and 39th week) :( ..she has told me Dr Purnima Deb will be looking after me in her absence and will deliver incase the bub decides to come when she is not around. I'm a FTM through IVF and was so looking fwd to Dr Elsa doing the delivery. I don't want to change hospitals now, I'm trying to feel happy that she will be taking care of me till 37 weeks and praying that the baby decides to pop only on my EDD so that Dr Elsa will be back, but these things are so uncertain as most of the women I know have delivered in their 39th week. I have heard that Dr Deb encourages C-section which I'm totally not in favor of. What do I do? Any reviews on Dr. Deb will be highly appreciated.
TIA
