Hi ladies
So we've just booked a holiday to Thailand for March with our 20 month old. After using the CARES harness last year on a flight to the UK, we are keen to get a car seat to use for air travel as the harness just didn't cut it with our toddler! Our maxi cosi car seat is one with an isofix base and can't be used on a plane so I'm looking for some recommendations for a lightweight car seat that is airline approved. Hoping to pick something up in the sales too if we can, or would be willing to buy second hand if good quality as will only be used for air travel.
Thanks!

oh and if you do buy it and plan to use it only for travel, you can easily remove the extra belts etc that are hanging off the back for LATCH attachment etc. I toted them around for ages before I figured out they just clipped off.

I have this one, which I bought from babyshop (in Doha but I assume you have in Dubai too) [url=http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11222655&prodFindSrc=rv'>link[/url'> it was the lightest one I could find and its great for travel. Easy to clean, (can easily remove and wash the cover without too much faff), approved for airline travel and very quick to pop in and out of taxis as the seatbelt just threads straight through the back. I did buy seatbelt shoulder pad things from mothercare to protect around the neck and it doesn't really have much cushioning around the neck so for a long flight or road trip you might like to use an inflatable baby neck pillow just to stop his head from lolling around if he's sleeping. The shape of it also means I can turn it upside and hook it over the handle of my stroller if I have to walk around with it although it might not fit every pram.
