ok..so after just stalling for so many days we finally went today to buy stroller and car seat for our soon to be new addition to our family :) since this is our first time so we have no idea what to buy? there are mind boggling options out there.
went to toy's r us but the person there has confused us. so i came back home thinking of taking advice from you ladies first.
we do travel alot so we have to buy travel stroller (light weight) in addition to car seat and pram.now what company to go for? graco is too heavy.maclaren is good but very expensive ( 3000 aed) the sales person there told us that people do buy graco then come back to buy a maclaren light weight stroller as the graco one is too heavy for them. he said buy a car seat and a maclaren stroller rather then whole pram.
so what are you using and which brand is good?

I got a Quinny Buzz 3-wheeler stroller for my DS. It can be used with Maxicosi Cabriofix car seat for when the baby is small. That is how I have been using it so far - with the car seat. Keep in mind my DS is only 4 months, but so far I just love my stroller. I go for daily walks and occasional trips to the mall. It is extremely convenient to fold, and you can just remove and fix the carseat if there is isofix installed in your car. I would suggest you have a look. Good luck hunting :)

I will have a new addition soon as well. Everybody swears by the Mclaren when it comes to travel! 3000 dirhams sounds a lot! I got a britax from the US. A friend had it and i like it. It was 250$. Not sure here. But as for travel, Mclaren are the best, and I will probably end up getting one as soon as the baby is over 6 months! :>)

do you want to be able to use your pram "off road". I have a large 3 wheeler mountain buggy type (the mothercare my3) and I can't imagine not having it, so easy to get up and down curbs, handle stairs, gravel, sand etc. We have a cheap lightweight but I've never used it.
