Found out on New Years Eve that number 2 is on its way. Super excited!!!
I want to shout it from the rooftops, but think perhaps I should wait till the 12 week mark.

What did you do?

Big congratulations! We waited till the 12,week to tell friends or most friends Hubby admitted later that he had told his best friend because he was so excited. We had also told family. But tried our hardest to keep the circle of who knew small. But i know its not easy when you just want to shout it from the roof tops!

Waited until 12 weeks with the first, told people pretty much straight off with the second, third and fourth. It was quite exciting having a secret first time around, couldn't be bothered with the effort of it all after that! Evidently there is no medical significance waiting until 12 weeks as miscarriages occur most regularly at around 7 - 8 weeks. In the UK and NZ it's common to wait until then as that is often when the first scan is.

Hi and congrats!! I tried my best to not tell anyone till I hit the 12 week mark because I had lost one before. I ended up telling people at 10 weeks because I got bad morning sickness and friends suspected when I didn't have a glass of wine with them (even with every excuse under the sun). It's also quite exciting to show the first scan when you do share. Enjoy the journey!
