Grunerbaum, what pram/pushchair did you decide on if you don't mind me asking? I feel like I've googled every single pram and read every review and all thats done is confuse me :-) I did have a look here over the weekend at what is available but like you say the selection in the UK is much wider.

Well done to all those ladies who are keeping up with the fitness. Unfortunately I’m using my pregnancy as a good excuse to relax in my spare time with my feet up :-) The shopping has begun, (hopefully the start of many more) and I’ve made my first purchase, the baby’s pram/pushchair... We did our homework on prices, models, etc, and found the UK to have a much wider selection and to be less expensive, so during our recent visit we decided to purchase our pushchair there and bring it back with us. We feared the transportation was going to a complete headache, but as friends of ours had previous done it, we decided to go for it, and to be honest, it really couldn’t have been much simpler, and Emirates couldn’t have been more helpful... If you have the opportunity and chance to purchase items this way, I would really recommend it! Ruby A – I think it would be a lovely idea for us all to meet up! Maybe we could arrange to do this after Ramadan and Eid, that way we can pick a location and time convenient to us all. I hope you're all keeping well.

Hi everyone, Wow, so many ladies due in January!! I'm due towards end of January with our first. I had an appointment with Dr Britt at City on Sunday and she was lovely, her nurse was also very nice too so I'm happy with our choice of hospital. Only 6 weeks until we find out the gender, we decided to because it won't change anything for us, we've waited so long for this that it will just add to all the excitement :-D I've been so far lucky and not had any pregnancy symptoms with the exception of my expanding waistline :) I'm also interested in yoga or pilates too but we are moving to The Villa mid Sept so I think I'll wait until we are settled before I look for classes close by. Hope everyone is feeling well!

Morning everyone. I've just joined the EW forum this morning and was so excited to see this thread. Like the rest of you who have posted here, I'm due in January 2013 too. It's my first so everything is a major discovery right now. I'm 16 weeks and have started showing so am in the stage of flaunting the baby bump! lol. But more seriously, I've got concerns about doctors, hospitals, policies, etc. I'd love to talk to other mums going through a similar experience. Would any of you like a coffee morning. edited by Ruby_A on 05/08/2012

I havent been to any classes yet, although i am going to look into it when i get back from leave at the end of August. This is the 1st time i have ever tried Pilates so looked into getting a dvd and found one called 10 Minute Solution - Prenatal Pilates. The dvd is fab. The reviews on amazon are great to read.

Hi Ladies, Its great to hear of more ladies expecting in January. I'm now just past the 17 week stage and feeling fine. I tried prenatal yoga a few weeks ago. I've not really done Yoga before and I did find it a good work out but I don't think yoga is for me. I'm interested in trying prenatal pilates though. HastingsCandy - where do you do your prenatal pilates class? Hope everyone is feeling well

Hi Ladies, I hope you don't mind me jumping in on your thread, but it's lovely to hear of so many January expecting Mums... Congratulations to you all! I am also due in January with my first baby, which I am hoping to deliver in the City Hospital. We asked about the s** on our 12 week scan, and the Dr gave us a 70% answer, so we're now desperately awaiting our 20 week scan to confirm for definite... I can't wait to begin the shopping sprees... ;-) I look forward to hearing and sharing furthermore thoughts and experiences.

Congrats to all of you... I am another second timer... due mid Jan... have a 2.5 year old daughter.. I am with Dr. Amal Badi. I love her... had a few friends deliver with her and she is very pro normal delivery if anyone is concerned about unnecessary c-section. She also delivers at City Hospital. I have heard they are good there... My last birth was at the American which was excellent but I heard alot of their best midwives have left. At the end of the day the midwives are the ones that can make or break the experience. I am on the fence about finding out the gender.... I didn't last time and it was wonderful not knowing... I knew it had to be one or the other but it was still a surprise. But this time is different as it would be good to make some room but Hubby doesn't want to. I am also still feeling very sick and no energy at almost 15 weeks. With my first pregnancy it was all behind me at 12 weeks and I felt amazing so I am hoping this will pass soon and I can start to enjoy it. Wishing all of you an excellent pregnancy

I'm pregnant with my 2nd and due Mid Jan. Right now I'm about 13weeks and morning sickness is still going strong. It hits me real bad in the afternoon and lasts all night through. Energy-wise it's been picking up last couple of days but it's still hard looking after my daughter some days. I'm hoping that it ends sometime in the next 2weeks. I'm sooo ready to start enjoying my pregnancy. As for giving birth, I registered with Latifa Hosp. I've heard the baby's heartbeat through doppler at 12weeks at GP appointment for referral. I'm going to wait and see how the appointments come up at Latifa before I consider getting to another doctor.

I had my 12 week scan last week and couldn't believe how clear it was. I even got given a DVD of the whole thing. We have decided to find out the s**. Haven't started buying anything yet, although I have been very tempted with the pottery barn sale. Ive been lucky that I haven't had any sickness. Just feel tired. Have tried to keep up going to the gym but finding that hard as my energy levels are zero.

That's good news. I haven't told anyone here yet. I've only been working here since March so I'm a bit anxious about telling them. My manager is on holiday so I thought it could wait until he gets back. I can't imagine him being too chuffed when I tell him that I'm 4 months pregnant! Whoops! How did that happen!? hahaha!

Yeah we havent bought anything either, but I am doing an awful lot of window shopping!!! I am at work now, and have been on EW for the last hour so that should tell you about my motivation!! I actually just told my boss today that I am pregnant - they were great about it and are going to see if they can offer me more than the standard UAE maternity leave, so fingers crossed for that. Have you told your work yet?

We have looked at different things, just to see how much it all costs! Haven't bought anything just yet, although with all the sales around its sooo tempting! I think we'll hold out until we have the 20 week scan. Do you work out here? Since finding out I've become useless at work! Motivation is out the window!

Hey Liza_p, yeah the first scan is amazing!! Hubby videoed it all, and we keep watching it :) You will be fine with Dr. britt - if you do a search on here for her, she gets some really good reviews. I think we are also going to find out at the 20 week scan, there are so many good sales on at the mo - have you started buying anything yet?

HI Masafi Mama! I've literally just booked an appointment to see Dr Britt in a few weeks time so I can deliver at City Hospital. Good to know she is lovely! I think we're going to find out the s**. We're excited to know who is coming into the world! Plus I'm struggling with names so this will help force us into a decision! The first scan is amazing isn't it!?

Hi ladies, congrats to all of you. I am delivering with Dr. Britt at City - she is lovely and I feel like I am in safe hands. Went for our 12 week scan on Saturday - it was amazing. Little legs kicking aroud and baby doing headstands. SO EXCITED. Are you going to find out the ***? We are really mixed on it..... In general feeling fine, just a bit weepy and emotional at the strangest of things
