I am considering putting my LO in nursery from now until end of June as I will be changing maids and it may be easier just to have him in nursery. Is it possible for him to join mid-term? Any good recommendations?

Thanks :)

Hi Niggly, if you do decide to put your LO in nursery, make sure you follow your instincts and dont go for convenience like I did!. I recently had a bad excperience with my LO at Golden Beach Nursery, and had to pull them out. I chose it because of the location (its very close to raffles where my older child attends). Now Im feeling like a bad mummy :( I'm also curious to know what was the bad experience with Golden Beach Nursery if you don't mind.

Now Im feeling like a bad mummy :( My LO is at Golden Beach Nursery & we too chose it for convenience and it seemed quite cosy. But, he's now onto his 4th teacher! They all seem really nice and experienced, so I'm not sure whats going on there ( my bet is the management) My DH has his old teachers number so I'm going to call her to ask her.I I'm a bit annoyed with DH though, because he decided to pay for the term in advance & I was considering just pulling him out and keeping him at home until a place is available at his brothers school, but he seems to enjoy it there & he runs into his class. I won't be keeping him at the nursery next term though..... eta do you mind me asking what the bad experience was? edited by coco pops on 02/03/2012

Thanks for the tip ... but don't feel bad, you are not always to know until you try out a place. Have you found a new nursery now?

Thanks for the replies ladies. Hopefully I have now found a new maid to start in April so I can relax! Will bear Blossom Village in mind for later in the year ... I'll probably book him in from Sept for a few days a week.

there are plenty of nurseries depending on where you live and they could take mid year (normally they have 3rd semester starting April) as long as they have spaces

Niggly try Blossom Village! My DD started in Feb, 1 month after term had started and there was no problem! There are very flexible and accommodating and the nursery is lovely! And its not too far from you, i think?!
