I've ordered a three wheeler sports buggy from the UK...(similar to Phil and Teds with double seat attachment underneath) will have it after Christmas...but yesterday somebody told me that inflatable wheels are a disaster in the heat. Is this true?I'm panicking a bit as I really had my heart set on this buggy and have already ordered and paid for it...Hubby and I are very active like to take long walks, (and it's very rough around our apartment block), go to the beach regularly etc so thought this buggy would be ideal. If it's just a daily pump in the evening and bit of oiling the front wheel I'm fine with that but if I'm going to be struck with punctures/cracking tyres I'll be concerned. Can anyone help?

yep depends, in summer I'd keep inside, better for the pram not to sit in the heat and nicer for baby not to have to get into really hot pram, in winter fine to leave in car if its easier. I also keep the carseat indoors for the same reasons.

Depends entirely on how much you'll use it from the house - are you likely to go out walking much? If not, leave it in the car. Less hassle! It might also depend on whether your car's in the shade or not. If it's in the sun all day, might be an idea to bring it in so the heat won't damage anything.

Thanks so much ladies! Had a small heart attack when I was told this. Especially when I had done so much research in finding the right buggy for us! (In a slightly obsessive manner....hubby actually banned me from the internet) Not planning to do real off-roading but just wanted something durable and well able for uneven ground and the beach. You have really made me relax. Thank you. Phew. xxx PS One more question....do you leave the buggy in the car or do you bring it inside the house with you each time? This is my first pregnancy so I am completely clueless! edited by gingercat on 19/11/2011

we have a Phil and Teds, never had any problems or punctures (touch wood), we have had to pump the tyres 2 in the past 24months!!! Great buggy in my opinion

we've had a 3 wheeler with inflatables for nearly 16 months, have never had a puncture, never oiled and have pumped up only once. We don't go off road a lot but it has coped with trips to the beach and 50 degree heat on occasion.

I had an iCandy Apple for DS, with inflatable wheels, and never had any issues with the tyres at all.
