My 10 and half year old is behaving a little strangely or atleast i think so. These days he has stared watching cricket and one day i caught him imitating umpires, players etc. Then the other day i saw him in the bathroom and he was smiling and murmuring and i freaked out so much that i entered but very calmly and casually asked him'where you thinking about something funny..or talking, i thought i heard you.' He didn't answer , just smiled but when i gently told him he could tell me, he said' yeah, i was talking to that X cricketer..and telling him bowl this way, go there, field here. I said but he's not real right, he said no, but i just see him in an imaginary way and talk. But the problem is he seemed to be deeply involved and not conscious of what he was doing.
Iam so worried, iam literally freaking out, and perhaps panicking too much. Otherwise he is normal, has plenty of friends, is social and all but is very childish by nature and maybe a little sensitive to criticism( as all preteens are). Should i be worried as i read about so many weird things and am very upset. Iam meeting with a psychologist but we have no insurance at all and just the thought of meeting one makes me feel iam branding my son. Iam very distraught and perhaps feeling guilty as I keep thinking back to my pregnancy which was a terrible one where I had a lot of issues with my in-laws( we are Indians) and my pregnancy was filled with stress and carelessness. Although he is doing everything a normal boy does, he is above average in studies..but he is a little anxious which i think he gets from me. Does anyone else's child have imaginary friends( or in this case real people) at an older age?
Please help...

Is he an only child-if so I wouldn't be too worried-sounds like he is well grounded
