Actually the only TV he watches is nursery rhymes videos as sometimes he gets restless, does not want to play and this is the only thing that calms him down. He loves it, or sometimes he watches some baby videos. I will use the high chair for now. Thank you

I tend to agree with Lilli, ideally a 7 month old shouldn't be watching TV at all. That said, as parents with no home-help we do sometimes use a DVD as a virtual babysitter when you need to pop upstairs or cook etc, not ideal but realistic. They should be free to move away when they lose interest though, not strapped in and forced to watch.

I would have one area, for example the living room, childproofed. Securing all power outlets, cables, removing all breakable or hazardous objects from child"s reach, put covers on sharp corners of tables and shelfs, etc... and then gate off or lock all areas that are not safe for your child, in my example of the living room, you could put a baby gate at the living room entrance. That way your baby is free to move but still safe. For instances where you need toleave him for a few minutes I would suggest a playpen. Maybe if your baby doesn't sit still for watching a video, it could be that he is maybe too little to be watching any TV at all? Just my personal opinion here, but I think 7 months is way too early for TV . They learn a lot more by interacting and watching you or exploring by touching and feeling their toys.

I think you need a playpen rather than a strapped in seat. Surely he can just sit on the floor, I never had a special seat for my baby from when he grew out of the bouncer until recently when he was old enough for a toddler chair.

I let him crawl a lot, but I would like some seat so he can watch his nursery rhymes videos, or I can put him while I do something quick.

yes he is way too old for the bouncer, time to pack it away for the next baby ;). If he can sit unaided and crawl then ditch the bumbo and let him develop as nature intended without strapping him into things and restricting his natural movement. The two big dangers with baby walkers (the kind they sit inside) is that they can fall of the edge of steps etc and that it teaches them an unnatural way of walking without developing the strength and co-ordination in the right places first which might lead to issues later on for some babies. Just make a safe play area with a thick rug or the foam playmats and let him crawl, sit etc without fear of danger. They will fall, they will bump heads etc but so long as the landing is soft it is all part of the learning process.

My baby is nine months, but has been able to sit up since she was about 7 months, so usuaally I just sit her on the floor and put pillows around her. The good thing is that she doesn't crawl yet! If there is nothing around that will harm the baby then I suggest you just sit him on the floor, especially if you are in the room. If you need to leave him for a minute then strap him into his high chair, at least you know he cant get out of that. The other thing that I have is a baby walker. Some people against the baby walker, but personally I'm a big fan of it and several doctors have reassured me that they are fine as long as you don't leave them for long periods of time in it. The good thing about the baby walker is it gives the baby freedom to move, but as it has a big base they can't really reach things so I think it's quite safe. you can also block off the area that you allow the baby to move in which is helpful as well.

My baby is 7 months old, and I am starting to get concern about his safety when sitting. I have a bouncer seat but he is starting to sit up straight and moves forward to pick up things from the floor so I am scared it may tilt. Also, I have a bumbo seat but the baby keeps arching back while setting and I am scared it may tilt and he may break his neck. Yesterday, I left him alone for 1 minute, and I found him out the bumbo seat and crawling, fortunately he did not get hurt. So, where do I put my baby to sit comfortable and safe?. Any tips?. Thank you
