This residential area in Dubai is named after the Remraam plant that grows abundantly in the UAE.

Remraam in Dubai boasts some of the most beautiful pockets of lush greenery in the heart of the desert.

In addition to their numerous affordable residences, this gated neighbourhood also features gardens, restaurants, retail stores, parking spaces, a fitness centre, swimming pools, saunas, and even sports/recreation courts.

The developer of this project is Dubai Properties, which is a subsidiary of Dubai Holdings. Originally, plans for Remraam's development included 198 buildings and was supposed to be one of the largest construction sites in the UAE, but the project was later scaled down. Its second phase, Remraam 2, is currently still underway.

You'll find this little oasis behind Dubai Sports City, and on the opposite side of Mudon and Mudon Central Park.

Public transport in Remraam

Several public buses operate through Remraam, connecting residents and visitors to other neighbouring areas. At the moment, there are no feeder buses that can take people from Remraam to/from the trains.

The nearest RTA metro station to Remraam is the Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station 2, located on the red line. Previously, the nearest Dubai metro station for Remraam was the Nakheel Metro Station.

The Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station opened to the UAE public on September 2021.

Taxis can often be spotted passing by outside the community on the main roads. You may need to book a taxi online as finding a cab within this gated neighbourhood is a rare occurrence.

What's life like in Remraam?

Remraam is a closely-knit community with 24-hour security, providing its residents a safe and family-friendly lifestyle.

While there are no villas or townhouses in the area, and its residential properties are apartments, Remraam offers UAE residents a tranquil, suburban atmosphere.

The neighbourhood is best known for its clean, landscaped greenery and shared facilities. You will find public sports facilities such as a volleyball court, basketball court, tennis court, children's jungle gyms, gymnasium, and community swimming pool. Open-air parks offer lovely spots for residents to rest, play games, play sports like football and cricket, and have outdoor picnics.

As there are plenty of shared facilities in Remraam, meetups and socialising is encouraged between neighbours. Children often find friendships with other kids in the area.

There are jogging-friendly lanes and tracks, so you might spot residents out for a run or mothers/nannies strolling with children.

Prior to Covid, Dubai Properties would often arrange community events in the neighbourhood, such as Family Fun Days or public sports events in local fields.

Remraam by day

As it's a gated residence, there is a pleasant, quiet atmosphere during the day. The morning rush in Remraam sees parents driving to work or dropping their children to school. School buses will also pass by the area during the early mornings.

Throughout the rest of the day, you'll spot stay-at-home residents, nannies, maids, or children around the local area, going for a walk, jog, or taking their children to the park or swimming pool.

Remraam by night

During the evening, most of the folks in Remraam are either indoors or are out and about in other Dubai areas.

Remraam doesn't have a night scene compared to places like Dubai Marina and Dubai Sports City. It becomes even more tranquil when the night comes.

The neighbourhood features beautifully-built flats available for both rent and sale. Generally, homes in Remraam include spacious rooms, balconies and terraces. Many inhabitants have converted their spacious balconies into their own private gardens.

Remraam is gated and landscaped, so it is protected from Dubai’s main roads.

What are noise levels like in Remraam?

Rarely will you hear noise pollution in Remraam. Aside from the daily sounds of children meeting up in parks or playing outside, families by the pool, sports and other activities at the fields, this neighbourhood in Dubai is typically a quiet one.

Since Remraam 2 is still being developed, you might hear some construction noises closer to that area. There used to be a local mosque in Al Ramth, but it has been permanently closed at the time of publishing our Remraam area guide.
