Dubai Issued This Many Business Licenses In November 2018 Alone

If you were wondering how many businesses operate in Dubai

Then you’ve probably come across the need for an operating license in the city, which is mandatory by bodies to obtain.

Thousands of businesses open in Dubai every day, which means that thousands of licenses are issued every day too.

And in November of this year alone, Dubai has issued 1,748 new licenses to residents and tourists in the country, as stated in a report by the Business Registration and Licensing sector in Dubai.

With the weather cooling down, several businesses tend to strategize to open their businesses in the winter time to take advantage of the heavy traffic in the city.

Among these issued licenses, there were a few differences:

  • 62.3% were for commercial use
  • 35.2% were for professional use
  • 1.2% were for industry use

While individuals who run business must obtain a license, they must also obtain a business registration permit to operate their company in Dubai.

And so far, November saw 23,979 new business registrations.
