The new trend is taking care of your skin by using organic products such as natural oils, honey and even vinegar.
While this sounds like the perfect recipe to beautify your already stunning face, it can be costly and confusing to understand how oils work and how they can effectively nourish your face.
Luckily, we’re here to help! We’ve been experimenting with different natural oils for different skin types and we think we may have figured it all out!
Let’s talk skin
Normal Skin
Being the least problematic skin type, normal skin does not leave any oil traces on your face, thus allowing for the face to look clean and smooth.
Dry Skin
Being prone to wrinkles, pores and facial irritation, dry skin has proven to be flaky and dry. Regular care and moisturizing should be used in order to keep the skin looking healthy and tight.

Oily Skin
Those who have oily skin will likely find that oil spots will appear in areas such as the cheeks, nose and forehead.
Oily skin is deemed problematic as it gives off a greasy and shiny look while enlarging the pores which consequently helps to encourage acne, pimples and other unwanted blemishes. Although oily skin is problematic, it is however, not easily prone to wrinkling, making the aging process not as immediate.
Combination Skin
Appropriately titled, combination skin is a combination of both dry and oily elements of the skin. Most women have combination skin, which means that traces of oil can be detected around the nose and forehead area, while the cheek and eye area are dry.

Let’s talk oils
We all know that some of the facial cleansers that we use actually contain alcohol and other chemicals that can do more damage than good to our faces.
So what is the deal with oils? How do they work in effectively cleaning our faces? Our faces are covered with countless tiny holes known as ‘pores’, which conceal oils to keep our skin looking healthy and fresh.
As some pores open and enlarge, they allow for excessive sebum (oil that is produced from the sebaceous gland that can be found beneath the surface of the skin) to flow into the pores. As the oversized pores continue to take in the sebum, it encourages acne, pimples, blackheads and other blemishes to plug the opened pores.

Since our faces are made up of pores that can be easily clogged, we need a solution to unclog the pores and that solution is… natural oils! When applied onto the face, natural oils can help dissolve and remove unwanted oil (sebum) from your pores, thus leaving the face to be soft and smooth.
The best natural oils that are often used by beauty experts are coconut oil, pomegranate seed oil, avocado oil and jojoba oil to name a few.
If you’re worried about getting acne from the natural oils that you will apply onto your face, don’t! Good quality, pure organic oils are gentle on the skin and will help keep your face rejuvenated and fresh.
