Park n Shop do the best bread. They buy Hovis flour mixes and have all kinds of hovis bread. I second this nomination, have only just recently discovered this (in the last 2 weeks) their Farmhouse and tin loaves and are the best white bread we have found (esp for butty's I am sure!). Often it is still warm when you buy it too! Prior this we always got Waitrose Farmhouse, but have now officially converted..

Waitrose Farm house sliced bread. Even better than the Spinneys farmhouse loaf.

Spinneys have a loaf callled french le pain and I swear it tastes just like a plain loaf of mothers pride. The best bit is you can cut it yourself so every slice is as thick as an outsider ....... happy days :)

Spinneys white sandwich loaf which is baked in the store is definitely as good as bread in the UK. I went without bread for a whole year until I discovered the white loaf.
