This sounds so good. Will definitely try it as well So I am totally new to the home making umm ali. Do you just mix it all? @exile, how long does it go in the oven on which temperature?

I do it almost the same as below, except I boil the condensed milk with water and I add whipped cream to the top before I put it under the grill.... and it's gorgeous! DH thinks it's the best Umm Ali he's ever had.

I make mine with croissants. About 8 torn up, 3.5 cups of milk, 1 cup of cream, 1 tin condensed milk, bit of rosewater, bit of cinnamon, sultanas and nuts, throw it in the oven - yummmmmm! Edited for typo edited by exile on 11/05/2011
