Can anyone recommend anywhere in Oman other than the Golden Tulip for a Break at Easter?
I belive there is beautiful parts to Oman and would love to see them but dont want to be in a car more than 4 hours?

We love Oman too and enjoyed 2 Christmas visits there. We stayed in Muscat in the Intercontinental. We booked trips to see various parts of the country and loved the chance to go walking in the mountains and visiting gorgeous villages and forts. The people are so friendly and open. None of our trips took more than a couple of hours and that was stopping off to see things and coffee breaks etc. We didn't drive but used the hotel drivers and guides.

I second Shangri La...it's nestled against the mountains with its own private beach...and if it's just you and DH, stay at the Al Hisn part of the hotel that's for adults only. Amazing!

Oman is stunning. We always go to the Shangri La Resort which is beautiful but it's longer than 4 hours in the car but......to be perfectly honest with you - it's soooooo worth the extra few hours.
