Been in Dubai less than two weeks and have gone down with the lurgy. Someone told me that it is fairly typical out here when you start living in air con etc and introduced to new germs. :( When do you start getting some immunity? Was told the first 9 months would be one bug after another. If you have children who will be going to school here they will continually come home with all sorts of aiments. :(

Oh joy. Something to look forward to. Will invest in some more cold relief and paracetamol. Oh and big boxes of tissues. Already gone through the bits I brought with me from the UK.

With so, so many people travelling over this period, as a family we all seem to catch something without fail!

If it's just a cold there's not a lot a doc can do except suggest painkillers for fever/comfort and plenty of fluids. And chocolate. Well, I made the last one up, but..... ;) If you do get earache then I'd go to the doc for that in case you get a full blown ear infection.
