I could be wrong here, but isn't sudafed - or any drug which contains pseudoephedrine illegal in Dubai? Hi - definitely not illegal, you can get most Sudafed variations of the counter. However Codine is illegal.

kill me for even starting this thread it's only because children and babies have died from overdoses of these anti-histamine-based medicines so the US and UK have changed their advice... but feel free to go ahead and self-medicate your child if you wish.

Not having a go Shaf, hope your LO is better this morning, but just showing concern as you really need to read the label before medicating children.

Dally is right Sudafed for kids is def for children over 4 years old. People often think if a medicine says for kids then it's safe, but really need to read the dosage instructions as they are often for older children and not for babies or toddlers. Paediatric medicine is usually for that age group, or better still get medicine prescribed by a doctor for your precious LO's.

Neither it's a nasal decongestant. Plus please read the instructions as I am sure it is NOT for children under 6 unless it's a paediatric medicine. "Sudafed FOR KIDS"? Duh! Oooops sorry actually NOT for under 4 so still shouldn't use see link http://www.sudafed.com/products/childrens-sudafed/childrens-sudafed-nasal-decongestant. Sorry also for caring! edited by Dally on 17/07/2011
