Thanks Anon..are all 3 expected to be private sector holidays as well? i.e. it will either be private hols on 29/30/31 or 30/31/1 or are only 2 going to be private sector hols? thx Isn't that up to the individual company? I honestly have no idea. I was only correcting misinformation about when Ramadan ends.

The last day of Ramadan will be either the 29th or the 30th, followed by three days of Eid holidays.

PI, I know that, and I know when Eid is expected to be, but I'm just wondering what days off offices will have (if it will be the same?)....or what days off they are expecting to have, as opposed to which days Eid will be. Never mind............thanks...

ha! err..yes, thanks for that Denshort. :\: I know when Eid is *expected* to be but we know that the actual private sector holidays are not usually announced until a few days before. However those in the know may already have an idea of which days will be declared as private sector holidays, as opposed to which days are public/Eid holidays. Thanks.... :\: :D edited by Maaam on 11/08/2011 It's dependant on sighting of the moon :) edited by Princess_I on 11/08/2011

I am private and we are expecting it to be 31st and 1st This is no help at all, but like Princess I said, they only normally tell you a day or two before, so everybody just guesses. If you are asking as you would like to book a holiday just go for the 29 - 1st and get which every days free you get!

you usually get the last day of ramadan and teh first day of eid off... It depends if you are public or private as to the number of days you get off..

So even if Eid is declared 29th or 30th, we would have 2 days (30 & 31?) or would it be 3 days (30/31/1)? Isn't it only 2 days holiday at this Eid and 3-4 at Eid Al Adha? Thanks P.I. PS. Hi... ;) :D
